Under Alaskan law, adults 21 years of age or older are allowed to possess up to one ounce (28 grams) of marijuana. That means that you are allowed to buy up to one ounce of marijuana as well.

Yes, under Ballot Measure 2, adults 21 years of age or older are allowed to transfer up to one ounce of marijuana and up to six marijuana plants to another person who is at least 21 years old, as long as no remuneration is accepted.

The approved medical conditions for Alaska's medical marijuana program include cancer, glaucoma, HIV+, or AIDS, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. Additional conditions may be approved by Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.

Patients must fill out the Application for Medical Marijuana Registry which requires name, address, date of birth, and an Alaska driver's license number or identification number.
